Certified Metabolic Balance® Coach
Have you tried every fad diet yet still struggle to maintain your weight?
Do you suffer with uncomfortable digestive symptoms or avoid an increasing number of foods because of the way they make you feel?
Do you struggle with hormonal imbalances?
Are you looking to improve your mood, sleep, skin, or just generally feel more energized?
Then nutritional therapy may be able to help!
I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist providing individual clients with personalised nutrition and lifestyle recommendations. My goal is to help clients improve their overall health and wellbeing. This typically means identifying any ‘triggers’ that may be causing imbalances or deficiencies and which may be preventing you from reaching optimum health.
Nutritional Therapy focuses on the person as a whole, and seeks to find the root cause of imbalances. We will work together to create a personalised plan, tailored to you as an individual to help you achieve lasting results. This may involve using Functional Tests or supplements to help you reach your health goals. I don’t believe in calorie restricted, faddy diets, but rather focus on helping you make lasting, achievable lifestyle changes to help you reach your health goals.
In my practice I see clients looking for help with a range of health conditions including weight management, digestive health, hormonal health, fatigue, energy levels and stress. I am a Certified Metabolic Balance coach and can support you through the Metabolic Balance programme. I am also currently studying for the ISSN Diploma in Applied Sports and Exercise Nutrition.
What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy applies nutrition science in the promotion of optimum health and wellbeing. As a Registered Nutritional Therapist I use a variety of tools to assess and identify possible nutritional and biochemical imbalances and understand how these may be influencing your health. As individuals, there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ diet that works for everyone. Nutritional therapy is recognized as a complimentary medicine and is relevant for individuals suffering with chronic conditions, as well as those looking to improve their overall health and wellbeing.
What to expect from a consultation?
Prior to the consultation, you will typically be sent a Health Questionnaire and food diary to complete ahead of the consultation for analysis. During the consultation I will take a detailed case history, and together we will agree a programme for you. This may involve strategies to help support digestive health, the immune system, blood sugar levels, energy levels, hormonal health, food intolerances, stress management, weight management or simply looking to make improvements to your food diary. Sometimes functional laboratory testing may be needed to identify the underlying cause of any symptoms. Supplements may also be required in some instances. After each consultation you will receive a detailed report.
The format of a consultation may differ if you have purchased a weight loss package.
As a Registered Nutritional Therapist, I am registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the UK register for health practitioners approved by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). I am also a Registered Nutritionist with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and work in the community and with corporates giving talks and running workshops.
